Disabling the Pop-Up Blocker in Google Chrome

If the pop up blocker is preventing you from accessing a web site, you will get the message below on the bottom of your Chrome window.  For this example we will use GradeQuick and Edline.

Start Gradequick.

If your pop-up blocker attempts to prevent you from accessing the web page, a message will appear in your address bar telling you that the page has been blocked.

This will quickly change to just the icon below.

Click on the message or the icon.

The message (below) will appear.  
Be sure that Always allow pop-ups from www.edline.net is selected

Click Done

Enter Gradequick again.

If the pop up blocker is preventing you from accessing a web site, you will get the message below on the bottom of your IE window.  For this example we will use GradeQuick and Edline.

Select Options for this site and click on Always Allow.

Be sure that www.edline.net in in your list of Allowed sites.

Select the gear in the top right of your browser screen  

Select Tools -> Internet Options and then select the Privacy tab.Select the Settings button in the Pop-Up Blocker Section.

If www.edline.net is not already in your list of allowed sites, add it as shown below.

Finally, for our example, you should re-open GradeQuick.

Google Apps for Education

The move has begun to migrate the Winchester Public Schools email system from First Class to GMail.  But even better, we will now have access to Google Apps for Education with 30GB of free storage and access to Google office apps like Docs, Sheets, Present and Forms.  

Email Addresses will change

Your email address will no longer be sent to the winchester.k12.ma.us server.  As teachers and staff, your new email address will be your first initial, last name @winchesterps.org.  

For example, my email address is kgrace@winchesterps.org.  If Walt Disney taught at our school, his email address would be wdisney@winchesterps.org.
